QotD: “Sasha Grey says she was lured into porn by a violent and abusive ex-BF”

Sasha Grey says she was lured into porn by a violent and abusive ex-BF – who convinced her he was a military spy who needed her for “cover” … and now she fears he’s come back to hurt her.

Grey claims in new court docs Ian Cinnamon subjected Grey to years of abuse and sexual assaults – starting in 2005 when she was 16 and he was 29.

Grey claims it was Cinnamon who convinced her to become a porn star, telling her he was a covert agent and she would be the perfect “cover” for him. And get this – he convinced her he worked for the DIA.

Grey claims Cinnamon got physically abusive. On one occasion she told him she forgot to check one of her porn sex partner’s STD test and he flew into a rage, hurling household objects at her.

Grey says she broke off the relationship in 2012 … and recently he started sending her numerous threatening messages … some showing pictures of handguns.

A judge agreed Cinnamon was a threat … and has ordered him to stay at least 200 yards from her.

Attempts to reach Ian were unsuccessful.

  1. This shatters the illusion that Sasha th was a strong minded individualist who entered porn on her own terms. If any bit of this is true, we see that she was a tool in an abusive asshole’s game. This is important because Sasha was not only a big name in the sex industry, she was presented as a success story. Any while she certialy did find “success”, it was all predicated on some asshole controlling her. This story needs mass circulation and commentary. All those people out there holding Sasha’s agency up as justification for their porn consumption need this reality check.

  2. That’s true not just for Sasha, but for literally every woman who has been similarly co-opted into representing the industry’s interests. I already named another good example of this phenomenon in the comments section of another post (https://antipornfeminists.wordpress.com/2014/08/12/qotd-this-isnt-a-i-told-you-so-thing/#comments) so I won’t repeat it here – however, the reason I am sending you this is because I want to spread the message that the woman in question is beautiful and deserves better in life, in the hope that will someday reach her.

  3. I agree this would be a good thing to share around. Everyone likes to praise Sasha Grey and use her to tell everyone to shut up criticizing the porn industry. My brother, asshole that he is, likes to wear a T-shirt with her on it and I have told him that I will not been seen in public with him with that shirt. The shirt says “God bless Sasha Grey”.

Sasha Grey, like many big name porn stars was forced into the industry. It doesn’t surprise me that she seems to have quit and recently has just appeared in regular, but obscure, movies.

  4. To be honest, I think Grey has been quietly dropped by the sex-pozzers, acknowledging her existence would be too awkward.

  5. […] It would have been a good idea to mention that, it turned out Sasha Grey was being violently controlled by a much older boyfriend/pimp when she entered the sex in… […]
