why do white people pretend to care so much about racism when they only they wanna throw around baseless accusations of racism towards other white people they don’t like and they want to harass or silence them? like i see this all the time, someone talks about being anti-prostitution, anti-kink, anti-gender, whatever, and instead of even attempting to create an argument against theirs, their just like “um im not going to even listen to you, you’re a white supremacist!! being against [x] = racist!!”
like i hope these people realize that they are the actual racists when they are constantly derailing issues by using ‘anti-racism’ to be nothing more than a silencing tactic, but never actually caring about actual issues of racism other than their gross, and extremely racist, “more poc in porn!!” bullshit.
once a white ‘accidentally’ called me a white supremacist because i made an anti-porn post, and then they messaged me & were like “omg im soo sorry i fucked up omg i didnt realize you were a poc!!” like lmao ok why dont you just admit you have no actual argument in favor of the sexual abuse of women for profit instead.
I’ve noticed it is mainly wealthier white people who do this. I’ve been raised poor (and am white) and I am constantly amazed at how middle-to-upper class white people 1) assume I am one of them because I don’t sound un-educated; 2) assume that liberal wealthy whites are the “nice” and true anti-racist people who don’t need to be collected and that the sins of racism belong almost entirely to poor whites, who must be continually policed and scolded and clucked over for their poor behavior. Richer white people cannot understand why poorer white people just don’t give a shit about their opinion on this matter and see right through their hypocrisy, because I’ve seen some extreme racism by richer white people that they call anything but racism because they can’t confess to their own shit.
In the UK, the upper classes have a great tradition of supporting fascist regimes, and the working classes have a great anti-fascist tradition.
